DOC Active Shooter Training Offered to OR&R Staff in Seattle

JULY 14, 2017--Active shooter incidents are unpredictable and can escalate rapidly.

In the midst of chaos, knowing how to act appropriately could mean the difference between life and death of everyone involved. This training is designed to make employees aware of Active Shooter situations and how to prevent and respond. This course provides guidance to individuals, including managers and employees, on how to appropriately react using the RUN-HIDE-FIGHT individual response concept. Cheryl Wieser, from the WRC security office is the instructor of this course. The class is scheduled to be an hour long and, it's limited to 20 students.

  • Class date and time: July 24 at 1:30pm to 2:30 pm
