Atlantic ERMA and the Hurricane Sandy Response
In October 2012, Hurricane Sandy roared toward the mid-Atlantic Coast. The reach of the storm was astonishing, with wind, waves, and storm surge wreaking havoc especially along the coasts of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
OR&R's Atlantic Environmental Response Management Application (ERMA®), an online mapping tool for New York and New Jersey waters, has been providing the U.S. Coast Guard and other responders across the region with up-to-date environmental response information. Atlantic ERMA brings together data and images from different sources into a common web-based tool to support ongoing environmental remediation and restoration activities throughout this region.
Visit Atlantic ERMA. Note: A user name and password is required to view some of the responder data.
