Jamechia Hoyle, DHSc, MPH, MS is the new Training Coordinator for the Disaster Response Center in Mobile, Alabama.

Prior to joining NOAA, Dr. Hoyle was a Public Health Consultant with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where she worked on the Zika Response. She also instructed the Emergency Response to Domestic Biological Incidents course at the National Center for Biomedical Research and Training at Louisiana State University. She has also been an Adjunct Professor at George Mason University in the Department of Global and Community Health for three years, where she teaches courses in biosecurity and global/community health. She has managed multiple public health program activities related to emergency preparedness and response, operational capacity, strategic thinking, response strategies, and clinical guidance for various Category A, B, and C bioterrorism agents. Additionally, she has a strong background in international health, with a primary focus on project management, program evaluation, training, and water, sanitation and hygiene.
