ALOHA 5.4.7 Includes Updated Public Health Safety Levels

SEPTEMBER 16, 2016--The latest version of the ALOHA® hazard modeling software is now available, and it includes updated public exposure guideline levels for toxic chemical releases.

You can download ALOHA 5.4.7 from the CAMEO® website. ALOHA is part of the CAMEO software suite of tools for emergency responders and planners, which are developed jointly by NOAA and the Environmental Protection Agency.

With ALOHA, you can model toxic gas clouds, fires, and explosions to determine areas where key levels of concern have been exceeded and a threat to the public may exist.

In this new release, the Protective Action Criteria for Chemicals (PACs) and the Emergency Response Planning Guidelines (ERPGs) have both been updated. Additionally, there was also a minor update to the Navy's RAILCAR source strength model, which is available in ALOHA for some types of pressurized liquid tank scenarios.

Key changes about this release (and past ALOHA releases) are listed on the ALOHA Development History page.
