CAMEO Training for Seattle Fire Department's Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Team

APRIL 10, 2015--OR&R provided training to all four shifts of the Seattle Fire Department's Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Team this week.

Each day all four emergency vehicles from Station 10 (see picture of Ladder 1) with their 10-12 person complement arrived at the Western Regional Center for a three and a half hour training in the latest Computer-Aided Management of Emergency Operations (CAMEO) software. CAMEO is developed jointly by NOAA and EPA for planning for and responding to chemical releases and is used extensively throughout the United States by fire departments and emergency managers.
