Collaborative Marine Debris Site Launched for the Great Lakes

MAY 12, 2017--The NOAA Marine Debris Program, in partnership with the NOAA Assessment and Restoration Division/Spatial Data Branch and Industrial Economics, Inc., launched the Great Lakes Marine Debris Collaborative on Friday May 5.

This collaborative tool was designed as a resource for regional partners to more effectively communicate, leverage resources, and educate the public on marine debris issues in the Great Lakes area. The need for this regional tool was identified within the Great Lakes Land-based Marine Debris Action Plan and was developed to build off Data Integration Visualization Exploration and Reporting (DIVER) capabilities. Regional partners are in the beginning stages of populating the site, so check back soon to learn more!
