Dr. Amy Uhrin Discusses Plastic Debris on SciTech Now

JULY 1, 2016--On June 22, NOAA Marine Debris Program Chief Scientist, Amy V. Uhrin, was featured in Episode #235 of the PBS program, SciTech Now, which aired on New York City metro PBS stations.


The episode included an approximately 8-minute interview on garbage patches and the issue of plastic debris in the ocean. The marine debris segment can be viewed using this link: https://www.pbs.org/video/2365788952/.

SciTech Now is a fully produced (by WNET) half-hour newsmagazine program hosted by Hari Sreenivasan, anchor of PBS Newshour Weekend and a senior correspondent for the nightly program. SciTech Now tackles topics including technology, scientific discovery and innovation.
