Inland Sensitivity Atlas Data in Great Lakes ERMA

NOAA’s Office of Response and Restoration has incorporated the Inland Sensitivity Atlas (ISA) for the Great Lakes region into the Great Lakes Environmental Response Management Application (ERMA) to support contingency planning, assist responders, and enhance public access to this information.

The Inland Sensitivity Atlas contains environmental, cultural, response and logistics information that provide emergency responders including the States, NOAA, EPA and Coast Guard with contingency information required under the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA).

This detailed atlas covers all six states within the Great Lakes region and includes geographic locations for shoreline sensitivity, sensitive riparian and terrestrial species, response strategies, and managed natural resource areas. The datasets are organized by state within Great Lakes ERMA, and can be overlaid with other environmental monitoring, contingency planning, and response data layers.
