Launch of New DARRP Website

AUGUST 14, 2015--The Damage Assessment, Response and Restoration Program (DARRP) Communications Team is excited to announce the launch of the new DARRP website!

The new site, darrp.noaa.gov , will be launched on Tuesday August 24, 2015, on the 25 th anniversary of the Oil Pollution Act of 1990. [Please note: Until August 18, the current website will be at this url.] The Act, which became effective on August 18, 1990, in the year following the Exxon Valdez oil spill, is an important part of oil spill governance in the U.S.

The new website is built on a content management system named Drupal. The new site has been streamlined and will feature design elements that are more engaging for users. It also will include a highly interactive map that is organized by topics, greatly improving the usability of the site for the general public.

Many thanks to Courtney Groeneveld, Katie Wagner, Joe Inslee, Mike Walton, Seumas Gagne, Chris Plaisted, and Amy Zimmerling for all of their hard work in creating a modern website that the DARRP program can be proud of.

Please contact Courtney.Groeneveld@noaa.gov, Katie.Wagner@noaa.gov, or Joe.Inslee@noaa.gov with any questions.
