Marine Debris Program Presents at Art of Museum of South Texas and Harte Institute

Kim Albins, Gulf of Mexico Regional Coordinator for NOAA's Marine Debris Program traveled to Austin and Corpus Christi Texas to “talk trash” with over 30 federal, state, and local partners last week.

She presented alongside other scientists and conservationists at the Harte Research Institute and Art Museum of South Texas which is currently featuring Sheila Rogers' Oceans of Plastic Exhibit. She was surprised by the amount of plastic bottles and bags on the beaches in Texas that have sea turtle bites in them.
