NOAA and NAMEPA Partner to Educate Future Ocean Stewards

To advance ocean and environmental stewardship, the NOAA Marine Debris Program in partnership with the North American Marine Environmental Protection Association (NAMEPA) developed an Educator’s Guide to Marine Debris in an effort to bring students new science, technology, engineering and mathematics-based marine debris lessons.

The guide presents a variety of lessons and for teachers and students to use in formal and informal classroom settings. As part of the partnership, the curriculum will be used at teacher workshops, distributed throughout the country through the Coast Guard Auxiliary. You can download a copy of the guide from the NOAA MDP's website.
