NOS Leadership Visits NRDA Restoration Project in Oregon

On October 1, 2014, the NOAA Damage Assessment, Remediation and Restoration Program (DARRP) hosted a very successful site visit for Russell Callender, Deputy Assistant Administrator for NOS, in Portland, Oregon.

The tour included a visit to the first restoration project being implemented for Portland Harbor NRDA purposes, the Alder Creek restoration project. At the site we were joined by several staff from Wildlands, Inc (the project developer) and Michael Karnosh, representative of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde on the Portland Harbor Natural Resource Trustee Council.
