OR&R Conducts Oil Spills Course at Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory

MAY 20, 2016--During the week of May 16-20, OR&R’s Emergency Response Division held a Science of Oil Spills (SOS) course in Ann Arbor, Michigan at the NOAA Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory (GLERL) facility.

The course was attended by 35 students from the U.S. Coast Guard, EPA, industry, state agencies, and tribal representatives. The course focused on oil spill science in the Great Lakes and inland waters and included classroom lectures, case histories, and field training in the shores of Lake Erie.
