OR&R at National Center for Environmental Information

FEBRUARY 17, 2017--OR&R's Spatial Data Branch met with the National Center for Environmental Information at Stennis, MS, to negotiate workflows and milestones for completing the Deepwater Horizon (DWH) close-out of data.

Of particular focus were the 225 discrete hard drives, and data layers from the Environmental Response Management Application (ERMA).

We also sketched out plans for the long term data management archiving needs as part of the ongoing DWH restoration project and monitoring data. The group was able to collectively examine some of the Data Integration Visualization Exploration and Reporting (DIVER) database structure that can enable automated archiving and delivery to NCEI and aid in cataloging DWH data streams in the NOAA Catalog and Data.gov.
