SEPTEMBER 23, 2016--The OR&R Outreach team met in Seattle on September 20-21 to review goals and objectives and to analyze and document progress on the FY16 Outreach action plan.

In addition to OR&R headquarters, office participation included staff members from the Marine Debris Program, Assessment and Restoration Division, Emergency Response Division, and Gulf of Mexico Disaster Response Center.

Carol Kavanagh, Chief of the NOS Communications and Education Division, and Keeley Belva, Public Affairs Specialist with NOAA External Affairs, spoke to the group on NOAA-wide communications issues and opportunities.

The group identified three multi-channel outreach campaigns to be conducted during the next fiscal year, and drafted the FY 2017 Outreach action plan. The final plan is scheduled to be available on the Outreach Google site at the beginning of November.
