OR&R at Paramount Petroleum Spill Drill for Washington's Puget Sound

OCTOBER 8, 2015 -- OR&R participated in a worst-case spill drill led by Paramount Petroleum in Seattle, Washington, on October 8, 2015. The drill focused on the potential release of oil into Puget Sound at Point Wells, Washington.

During the drill, Ruth Yender and Rachel Pryor provided scientific support while Ben Shorr and JB Huyett offered information management and ERMA support.

The day before the drill, the team presented to the drill participants on NOAA's role in scientific support, environmental data visualization and mapping in Northwest ERMA, and NOAA's approach to data management and sharing.
