MAY 12, 2017--Emergency Response Division Chief Scott Lundgren and the Assessment and Restoration Division's Robb Wright presented to the Third Annual Offshore Technology Symposium held at Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington DC on May 8.

This event was designed to orient Coast Guard and an interagency crowd to Outer Continental Shelf oil exploration and production spill risks and capping and containment capabilities. The Coast Guard summarizes the event in Maritime Commons.

The OR&R representatives presented on scientific support coordinators and roles, the growth and engagement of the science community in the Gulf of Mexico, our trajectory modeling role including for subsea sources, remote sensing experience and research, the importance of data in spills, NOAA tools ERMA and DIVER, and data sharing agreements.
