OR&R Participates in U.S. Department of Energy NRDA Workshop

On November 18-19, 2014, OR&R Assessment and Restoration Division staff participated in the Department of Energy's National Natural Resource Damage Assessment (NRDA) Workshop in Washington, D.C.

The workshop focused on strategies to resolve common issues at Department of Energy NRDA sites across the country, including integrating Tribal and ecological injury claims, conducting ecological injury studies, using long-term stewardship and land management actions for restoration, and funding NRDAs. NOAA participates on the NRDA Trustee Council and multiple technical working groups for the Hanford Nuclear Site in the State of Washington.
