Dr. Lisa DiPinto of the OR&R Assessment and Restoration Division delivered two presentations on the ongoing Natural Resource Damage Assessment (NRDA) of the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill at the second workshop on Marine Oil Spill and Biological Effects in Busan, South Korea on December 3-5, 2014.

The workshop was organized by the Korean Institute of Ocean Science and Technology (KIOST) and included researchers from several U.S. and Korean research institutes. This workshop is part of a cooperative arrangement between the US and S. Korea for scientific exchange related to oil spill response and assessment.

Many of the talks focused on ongoing assessment and restoration efforts following the 2007 Hebei Spirit oil spill off the coast of Korea, and on the ongoing research associated with the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
