OCTOBER 14, 2016--On Oct. 13, OR&R’s Assessment and Restoration staff attended the Passaic River Symposium VII , which is held once every two years at Montclair State University in New Jersey.

The symposium is designed to bring together the wide range of stakeholders working on an array of environmental management challenges related to this urban waterway. This year's Passaic River Symposium focused on sustainability issues in the Passaic River Basin including the recent decision for remediation of the Lower 8.3 Miles of the Lower Passaic River, environmental monitoring, flooding, storm water, water quality and water supply, ecosystem restoration, and environmental advocacy and public outreach efforts.
