Save the Date: International Coastal Cleanup, Saturday, September 19!

SEPT. 11, 2015--The NOAA Marine Debris Program is a proud sponsor of the annual International Coastal Cleanup. This year, the cleanup is taking place on Saturday, September 19th across the globe from 9 am to noon.

Volunteers will join forces to remove marine debris in the largest volunteer effort to make a global impact.

Last year, NOAA volunteers across the nation helped clean up more than 1,000 pounds of debris from our Great Lakes and Oceans in Washington, D.C., Alabama, Washington State, Oregon, California, and Hawaii. Save the date to join us again at a local cleanup near you.

For more information about the Cleanup, contact Asma.Mahdi@noaa.gov.
