NOVEMBER 20, 2015--On November 12, 2015, Michel Gielazyn participated in the Third Annual ELI-Stetson Wetlands Workshop in Gulfport, Florida.

This year’s theme was “Wetlands Mitigation and Long-Term Stewardship: Financial Challenges and Title Issues.”

The day started with a field trip to a mitigation site in Land O’ Lakes, Florida. The rest of the workshop featured speakers from Stetson Law, EPA, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, local governments, NGOs and mitigation banks. The challenges of long-term protection and funding of mitigation banks were discussed at length.
