Funding Opportunities for Marine Debris Removal and Prevention Grants Now Open
SEPTEMBER 15, 2017--The Marine Debris Program is holding grant competitions for both marine debris removal and prevention projects in FY18.
Removal projects targeting derelict fishing gear and other medium and large scale debris, as well as those that also foster awareness about the effects of marine debris will be given priority. Proposals are due by November 1, 2017.
Prevention projects that focus on targeted behavior change to prevent marine debris will be given priority. For this funding opportunity, Letters of Intent must be submitted by September 28, 2017 and invitations for full proposals will be sent by November 1, 2017.
