Hurricanes and Adventures in Wind Engineering Research

April 12, 2021 — This week, Dr. Forrest Masters, Ph. D., P. E. will present as part of the “You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know” lecture series. Dr. Masters is a professor of civil and coastal engineering in the Engineering School of Sustainable Infrastructure & Environment at the University of Florida.

His research focuses on hurricane effects on the built environment, and he has created one of the seven National Science Foundation Natural Hazards Engineering Research Infrastructure (NHERI) experimental facilities for the study of damaging effects of extreme wind events on civil infrastructure. Please join us Thursday April 15, 2021 when Dr. Masters presents “How to Bring the Lab to the Hurricane and the Hurricane Back to the Lab: Adventures in Wind Engineering Research.
