Industry, Trustees and Partners Meet to Collaboratively Advance NRDA Science and Practice

OCTOBER 21, 2019 — A diverse array of stakeholders gathered to share information regarding scientific, economic and legal issues to advance the Natural Resource Damage Assessment practice. 

NOAA attendees from OR&R (Tony Penn and Chris Giguere) and GCNR (Kim Katzenbarger) participated in panels to exchange views on key issues; challenges and solutions; best practices and lessons learned; coordination of remediation, restoration and emergency response; and opportunities for increased training and more effective communications.

Other panelists and attendees included scientific, economic and legal experts from various industries, several US Dept. of Interior offices, CEQ, USDOE, USEPA, Georgetown Law, and others.
