Marine Debris Program Participates in Ohio Clean Marina Conference

MARCH 9, 2020 — On Thursday, February 27th, the NOAA Marine Debris Program participated in the 4th Annual Ohio Clean Marina Conference in Port Clinton, Ohio.

This year, the conference included an afternoon breakout session on marine debris. A panel of experts, including Sarah Lowe, NOAA MDP Great Lakes Regional Coordinator, as well as representatives from Ohio Sea Grant, Old Woman Creek National Estuarine Research Reserve, and Ohio Clean Marina Program, provided marina owners and boaters information about Ohio’s efforts to address debris as well as how everyone can personally make a difference.
