Marine Debris Program Presents Virtual Guest Lecture on Microplastics
APRIL 20, 2020 — On April 9, the Marine Debris Program’s Gulf of Mexico Regional Coordinator, Caitlin Wessel, gave a virtual guest lecture for the University of South Alabama.

Caitlin presented to attendees, from the Marine Science Undergraduate program, on the emerging threat of microplastics to marine ecosystems. Other discussion topics included examples of successful campus plastic reduction efforts, recycling challenges in America, and ways individuals can reduce waste.
