NOAA, along with John Davis of the New York Office of the Attorney General, and Seth Davis, a private sector attorney, responded to questions posed by a visiting Chinese delegation with representatives from the China's Ministry of Ecology and the Environment, the Chinese Academy for Environmental Planning's Centre for Environmental Damage and Risk Assessment, provincial Environmental Protection Bureaus and non-profits (e.g., Environmental Defense Fund, Beijing). Steve Wolfson, EPA's Office of General Council International Law Group served as facilitator.

Earlier in the day, the delegation met with EPA on topics related to remedial cleanups and environmental liability. EPA and China are collaborating on environmental issues and have signed a Memorandum of Understanding covering several areas of mutual interest including toxic chemical exposure prevention, contaminant remediation, enforcement and compliance, and environmental laws and institutions.
