OR&R Participates in Washington State University Oil Spill Training

OCTOBER 5, 2020 — Washington State University (WSU) Snohomish County Extension hosted the Oil Spill Awareness and Response Support course September 19 and 26.

The course was designed for current marine resource volunteers with WSU and other organizations who are interested in learning about oil spills and opportunities for volunteering during an oil spill incident. OR&R provided two separate course modules. The first being spilled oil properties as well as its fate and effects in the marine environment. The second module covered Natural Resource Damage Assessment, including opportunities for public engagement.
