FEBRUARY 27, 2015--During the week of February 16, 2015, Peter Murphy, the NOAA Marine Debris Program's Alaska Regional Coordinator, presented on marine debris and local partnerships to research and prevent its impacts on our oceans at the Alaska Forum on the Environment (AFE).

Peter also presented on on-going marine debris monitoring efforts through the program's Marine Debris Monitoring and Assessment Program and moderated a panel discussion on the topic The conference is Alaska's largest statewide gathering of environmental professionals from government agencies, non-profit and for-profit businesses, community leaders, Alaskan youth, conservationists, biologists and community elders.
