Nicole LeBoeuf provided opening remarks to the gathered crowd that later collected almost 4000 pounds of trash across the island. Participants also entered a contest for the most interesting piece of trash with an old Polaroid camera coming in first place.

In addition to the event in Washington DC, MDP staff attended ICC events around the country, including the MDP’s Gulf of Mexico, Pacific Northwest, California, and Pacific Islands regions.
