Gulf of Mexico Alliance Meeting in Baton Rouge

JUNE 17, 2016--The week of June 13, several members of NOAA’s Damage Assessment, Remediation and Restoration Program (DARRP) from OR&R’s Spatial Data Branch and the Restoration Center participated in the 2016 Gulf of Mexico Alliance (GOMA) All-Hands meeting in Baton Rouge, LA.

GOMA is focused on partnerships between State, Local, Federal and non-governmental organizations with the common interest in creating a healthy and resilient Gulf of Mexico. In addition to participating in workgroups and initiative team discussions, George Graettinger and Ben Shorr presented on the Gulf of Mexico Response, Assessment and Restoration ERMA and the DIVER application during the 3 hour Tools Café. George and Ben had the opportunity to demonstrate the functionality and utility of ERMA and DIVER for data visualization and data management/querying respectively, and discuss how OR&R and DARRP are using these applications to support restoration in the Gulf of Mexico.
