NRDA Short Course in June

The North Atlantic chapter of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) is sponsoring a two-day short course on Natural Resource Damage Assessments (NRDAs) on June 10-11 at University of Massachusetts-Amherst.

Ken Finkelstein of NOAA and Alan Parsons of Kingston Consultancy are the two organizers of the course that intends to provide more detail than previous courses offered. A step-by-step approach to Rapid Ecological Assessment (REA) and Habitat Equivalency Analysis (HEA) is highlighted as well as a case study for the participants to undertake and resolve. The agenda will include a site-specific Environmental Response Management Application (ERMA®) presentation and examples of the NRDA process that have resulted in New England restoration.

Currently, the final agenda is not yet available, but Ken Finkelstein (Ken.Finkelstein@noaa.gov) can provide a draft to those immediately interested.
