Clean Waterways is an annual conference of federal, state, and local government, NGOs, and industry experts involved with pollution response on the Great Lakes and inland waterways. The Clean Waterways conference focuses on training, spill prevention, salvage, and response issues including transboundary, inland rail and pipeline response issues, as well as pollution from shipping and marine oil transportation.

This year’s conference featured sessions on communication and community engagement, geographic response plan best practices, non-floating oil response, cold weather response, and oil spill modeling for rivers and inland waters. Adam Davis served on the planning committee and as session chair for the oil spill modeling session.
