OR&R Participates in 2016 Ocean Sciences Meeting

FEBRUARY 26, 2016--The Ocean Sciences meeting convenes every two years and provides a venue for international scientists, students, government representatives, and industry practitioners to share information on all aspects of oceanography.

The annual meeting is co-sponsored by the American Geophysical Union (AGU), Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO), and The Oceanography Society (TOS).

OR&R’s Emergency Response Division participated this year in New Orleans along with approximately 4000 other scientists from around the world. The meeting featured numerous concurrent oral and poster sessions on topics ranging from new and emerging ocean research, to policy, outreach and science education.
OR&R’s Amy MacFadyen presented a poster in a session on operational oceanography titled "The General NOAA Operational Modeling Environment: Development and Applications."
