Save the Date: International Coastal Cleanup, Saturday, September 20th

The NOAA Marine Debris Program is a proud sponsor of the annual International Coastal Cleanup. This year, the cleanup is taking place on Saturday, September 20, 2014, across the globe from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

Volunteers will join forces to remove marine debris in the largest such volunteer effort to make a global impact.

Last year, NOAA volunteers across the nation helped clean up more than 1,000 pounds of debris from our Great Lakes, ocean, and waterways in Washington, D.C.; Alabama; Washington; Oregon; California; and Hawaii. Save the date to join us again at a local cleanup near you.

For more information about the cleanup, contact Asma.Mahdi@noaa.gov.
