NOVEMBER 4, 2019 — SOLVE Oregon, in partnership with Oregon State Parks, launched a state-wise adopt-a-beach program.

The terms are simple and easily doable: Sign up to adopt-a-beach for two years, and clean the beach of marine debris at least three times a year. SOLVE provides support for the adopt-a-beach participants, including training, cleaning supplies, and even a small grant to cover cleaning expenses. This program, capitalizing on a successful pilot project funded by the NOAA Marine Debris Program and the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation, is open to groups, families, and even individuals who want to adopt-a-beach and benefit by participating and contributing to keeping the beautiful beaches of Oregon clean of marine debris.
