Accessibility of this Website

NOAA’s Office of Response and Restoration (OR&R) is committed to presenting information on its website that is usable by all visitors, to the greatest extent possible, without the need for adaptation or specialized design. We are working to make our site compliant with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (29 U.S.C. § 794d), as amended in 1998, as well as following the guidelines of the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative.

Section 508 is a federal law that requires agencies to provide people with disabilities or sensory impairments with access to information and data comparable to those without disabilities/impairments, unless doing so would impose an undue burden on the agency. The Section 508 standards are the technical requirements and criteria used to determine whether the agency is meeting the requirements of this law.

Reporting Accessibility Issues

The complexity of some of OR&R’s information, data, and products may make access difficult for some. If you encounter material on our website that you cannot access or use due to a disability, please email us so that we can assist you. In your email, please include the material in question and/or the URL for the Web page, and the specific problems you are having.

Your comments and interest in our website help us to identify areas where we can improve. We welcome your suggestions.
