7th International Marine Debris Conference Call for Abstracts and Posters is Open

APRIL 11, 2022 — On March 31, the 7th International Marine Debris Conference (7IMDC) launched a call for abstracts and posters, which is open until Friday, April 29, 2022. The 7IMDC is scheduled to take place from Sept. 18-23, 2022 in Busan, Republic of Korea.

Successful abstract proposals will be offered a speaking time within the Technical Session to which the abstract is submitted, while successful poster proposals will be offered a space at the conference’s poster event. All final Technical Sessions, with titles and full descriptions, can be found on the Technical Sessions page of the 7IMDC website. For more information, please review the Abstracts and Posters page on the 7IMDC website.

Please note that the 7IMDC is currently being planned as a primarily in-person event, although the conference will have hybrid elements and will provide options for remote attendance. There will be more guidance on this available on the website in the future

Anyone interested in the conference should subscribe to the 7IMDC mailing list to stay up to date on the latest news and developments. The Republic of Korea’s Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and the United Nations Environment Programme are official co-hosts for this event, with NOAA’s Marine Debris Program providing in-kind support in planning and executing the conference.
