Changes in OR&R’s Emergency Response Division

Debbie Payton Receives a Grand Send-off from DOC and NOAA Leadership and Scott Lundgren Takes the Reins!

AUGUST 24, 2015--For those that missed the event, during Thursday's all-hands meeting Debbie Payton got very public and major kudos from DOC Secretary Pritzker, NOAA Administrator Dr. Sullivan, and NOS' (and formerly OR&R's) Holly Bamford. The number of send-offs is approaching an all-time high for a federal servant and is well deserved for her decades of public service and dedication to the OR&R mission. Thanks to Debbie for setting us in motion for long-term success.

Scott is officially the lead for the Environmental Response Division. He joins us after more than 20 years working the environmental response issues of the Coast Guard marine environmental response, preparedness, and planning groups. Scott has had experience on the ground with response for numerous events and from five different posts while in the Coast Guard as a civilian. He has jumped in with both feet to meet the staff and learn the inside details on all the efforts of OR&R’s Emergency Response Division team. We look forward to Scott's leadership and guidance as we move forward together continuing on the successful path that has been set.
