Marine Debris Program Attends G20 Marine Litter Workshop in Hamburg

MARCH 17, 2017--Acting Deputy OR&R Marine Debris Division chief Adam Domanski, traveled to Hamburg, Germany, the week of March 6 to participate in a G20 workshop alongside representatives from the American Chemistry Council, the World Bank, the European Commission, and 15 other nations.

Participants developed an operational framework for addressing marine litter globally. NOAA will continue to work with G20 nation representatives to incorporate marine litter into the leaders’ declaration at the full G20 summit in July.
