NOAA Marine Debris Program Conducts Outreach in Maine

OCTOBER 7, 2016--On Saturday, September 24, Keith Cialino, the Marine Debris Program Northeast Regional Coordinator, conducted outreach on marine debris at the Punkinfiddle National Estuaries Day celebration at the Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve in Wells, Maine.

The annual event fostered stewardship of coastal environments by celebrating the richness of estuaries, Maine's cultural traditions, and the historic site of the Wells NERR. The fall festival featured environmental education, artisan demonstrations, lively music, food vendors, farm animals, and children's activities. For more information, contact Keith.Cialino@noaa.gov.
