Putting Marine Debris on Display at NOAA

The NOAA Marine Debris Program, along with the NOAA Restoration Center, organized an exhibit at the Greater Atlantic Regional Fisheries Office (GARFO) featuring local artwork created from marine debris.

Featured exhibits include, the Angry Ocean Project, by Kathy Abbott, made from a combination of trash found on local beaches and real marine animal artifacts, and “Catch What Whales Shouldn't Have to Eat,” by Nina Samoiloff, which takes a closer look at excess packaging and products we easily toss, through mixed media including photography and sculptures.

For more information on the art exhibit, contact Keith.Cialino@noaa.gov.
