Disaster Preparedness Program Supports Lessons Learned for NOAA's COVID-19 Response

APRIL 6, 2020 — As NOAA's internal response to COVID-19 continues, the agency is adapting quickly implementing new protocols and policies.

Throughout this time, it is critical to capture lessons learned and memorialize new processes to improve the efficacy for the future. Recognizing this need, NOAA's Homeland Security Program Office has stood up an After Action Reporting/Lessons Learned Unit. Work has already begun to generate the best path forward for collecting lessons learned across the agency.

This is a great opportunity to remind OR&R to be thinking about and recording potential lessons learned for submission to the AAR/Lessons Learned Unit.

For additional questions, please contact the co-leaders of the unit, Katherine.Krushinski@noaa.gov or Charles.Grisafi@noaa.gov.
