The final report and workshop proceedings are available on the University of New Hampshire’s Coastal Response Research Center (CRRC) website. The workshop brought together a diverse and expert community from federal, state, and local government, industry, and academia involved in spill response, preparedness, and research. It focused on the development of best practices for advancing OR&R’s interaction with the academic community during response, enabled by relationships and strategies built during the preparedness phase. The workshop also strengthened relationships and fostered understanding of the roles, responsibilities and strengths and limitations of the oil spill response and assessment scientific community and the academic community.

The report contains the entire workshop proceedings in addition to potential workshop outcomes and possible short-term actions.
