SEPT. 7, 2018 — On Aug. 28, Sarah Lowe with the OR&R's Marine Debris Program participated in the Ohio Science Writer's Workshop at the Ohio State University’s Stone Laboratory on Gibraltar Island at Put-in-Bay.
The workshop served as an outreach avenue to science writers, including those from local media outlets and magazines. It featured presentations by experts on key issues affecting Lake Erie and coastal communities, including marine debris. Sarah provided participants with an overview of the marine debris problem, along with examples of local and regional marine debris initiatives.
