Marine Debris Program Shares Updates from Florida

SEPTEMBER 28, 2020 — On September 15, Ashley Hill, the Marine Debris Program’s Florida and Caribbean Regional Coordinator, presented on marine debris activities in Florida during a Coastal Conservation Panel as part of the Florida Master Naturalist Program (FMNP) hosted by Loggerhead Marinelife Center

The FMNP is an adult education program created by the University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Science’s Extension with the goal of promoting awareness, understanding and respect of Florida’s natural world among citizens and visitors. Other panelists were from Frost Science Museum, Palm Beach County Office of Resilience, and South Florida Water Management District. Twenty-two students virtually attended the remote presentation.
