AUGUST 27, 2015 -- This week the Gulf of Mexico Disaster Response Center partnered with NOAA's Office for Coastal Management to hold a training on planning and facilitating collaborative meetings.

This two-day course introduced participants to the role of the facilitator during meetings, tools to capture everyone’s ideas, and ways to keep meetings focused. Participants of this training represented organizations such as Grand Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, Mobile Bay National Estuary Program, Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality, various groups within NOAA, and environmental nonprofits from the region.
