This 2021 webinar series featured experts sharing perspectives and solutions from across the country on common abandoned and derelict vessel issues to help communities better deal with them.

Thousands of ADVs litter coastal waterways all over the country, obstructing navigational channels, causing harm to the environment, and diminishing commercial and recreational activities. For many communities, assessing, removing, and disposing of these vessels is complex and requires significant financial resources. Often this leads to vessels persisting for years in a watery purgatory while agencies try to coordinate funding and authority for removal.

The Salvaging Solutions series was organized to focus on these common ADV challenges and included almost 30 presenters who shared their ADV experiences. About 125 people attended each month and were able to ask questions in real-time. Recordings of each webinar can be accessed on our webpage.
