Virtual Salish Sea Ecosystem Conference April 26-28, 2022
NOVEMBER 13, 2021 ─ The 2022 virtual Salish Sea Ecosystem Conference is the latest in a long history of regional gatherings about the inland seas of Washington and southern British Columbia, collectively known as the Salish Sea.

The first conference, “Puget Sound Research”, was held in 1988. OR&R staff have participated on a number of topics such as oil spills and contaminant monitoring. Recent conferences have also focused on fisheries, climate change, acidification, pre-spawning salmon mortality (due to tire chemicals), marine debris, social and tribal issues, diversity and equity, and strong student representation.
